Women’s Fellowship Ministry
The Women’s Fellowship Ministry was established in 2000. It began with only three dedicated Women of God meeting every other Saturday to study God’s Word. The fellowship has grown and matured over the years. We thrive through the strength of the Almighty God to execute our vision: Sharing God’s love to all women and others; and our mission: Leading women to a deep knowledge of the Word of God and dedicated service to God by developing spirit filled and virtuous women who are a positive influence on the home, school, and the community (Matthew 28: 19-20). We invite you to join us as we continue this extraordinary journey into learning about the Word of God and his promises for us as women in Christ Jesus. Motto: We enter to learn, we depart to serve.

Music Ministry
The Music ministry plays a vital role in ushering the congregation into the presence of God by building the foundation before the word is ministered. The Music ministry is made up of the praise and worship team, the children’s choir and the audio and instruments department. The praise and worship team rehearses every Saturday from 6:00-8:00pm, except the last Saturday of each month. Please know that YOU ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US!

Youth for Christ (Children’s Ministry)
The Youth for Christ Ministry is guided by this verse: “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he grows up, he will never depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).” We are dedicated to teaching children the Word of God with love, patience and compassion. We strive to instill in them the fear of the Lord, respect for the elderly, and love for all. Furthermore, we seek to live by our motto: “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33).” The Youth for Christ recognizes these values and their role in fulfilling our mission in Christ Jesus through the help of the Holy Spirit. As leaders, our passion is to meet the unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each child. To that end, we pray earnestly for each child, seek God’s direction for His precious children, learn from the Pastor and Elders, and develop educational material for the kids.

Daughters of ZION
Daughter’s of Zion (DOZ) is a group of single young adult ladies who are dedicated to the things of God.  The group was initiated by Pastor Brown in 2004.  DOZ was derived from Zechariah chapter 2:10. The word ZION represents: Z for Zeal, I for Inspiration, O for Obedience and N for Nurture. We believe these characteristics will mold it’s members to be great women of God. DOZ meets on the third Saturday of every month at 4pm.

Our purpose is to:

  • Enrich young women with knowledge and wisdom in the things of God
  • Equip young women with tools on how to present themselves and be faithful leaders in the church & community.
  • Educate young women to set good examples for the younger generation to follow.
Good Samaritan Ministry
The main objective is to reach out to the hungry in our community by nourishing their lives both physically and spiritually. This objective is accomplished by services rendered through the bread ministry and food kitchen/pantry.

(Luke 6:21) Blessed are you who hunger now,  for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.

Care Call Ministry
The Care Call Ministry is responsible for carrying out the mission of the church, “Rescue the Perishing and Caring for the Dying.”  This ministry facilitates a first time attendant reception after each service, where refreshments and information about the church is provided. Additionally we coordinate practical and compassionate care giving efforts such as ministering  to the  broken and hurting, those going through difficult times, we pay hospital and home visits during sickness and bereavements. We also celebrate with families experiencing the birth of a child and provide assistance as needed. If you need to be held up in prayer or just need a listening ear, the Care Call Ministry is here for you.

Men’s Fellowship Ministry
The mantra of the Men’s Fellowships is “Unity and Brotherhood.” “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1).” We believe that we can best serve the Kingdom of God only if we as men unite with one purpose. Though the Men’s Fellowship is primarily made up of fathers, we often include the younger men in many of our activities. Regular activities include breakfast prayer meetings that are held every third Saturday of the month, Men’s annual conference, and Men’s revival. The Men’s ministry also organizes the church’s annual cookout.

Christ Ambassadors
Young Adults Ministry

The Young Adult Ministry of the Church of the Living God is a group of energetic young men and women filled with the Holy Spirit and a burning desire to do the work of Almighty God. The vision of the ministry is proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and His resurrection. The Young Adults strengthen their walks with Christ through teaching and studying the Word of God. In addition to attending service on Sunday morning, Bible Study and Tuesday night Prayer meetings, members of the Young Adult Ministry lead Christ Ambassadors, a bi-monthly Bible study group for Young Adults. Meetings are held with the purpose of training strong and mighty men and women of God, who have made lifelong commitments to serve Him.

Nursery
To provide a loving and safe environment for the youngest members of our church family, and enable them to know, love and honor God.

Ushers Ministry
Ushers are called to be doorkeepers in the house of God. “ For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness” (Psalm 84:10) The main function of the Ushers’ Ministry is to meet, greet and seat the congregation and visitors as they enter the sanctuary. The Ushers’ Ministry is an extension of God’s hands to the people. The Ministry of Ushering is a personal representation of Jesus Christ who meets people on a person person basis when they first arrive at the church. The ushers serve as watchmen, servants, disciplinarians and host, just to name a few.

Brothers Keepers
Our ministry is built on the teachings of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with the core practice of sharing the love of God through brothering. With humility and steadfastness, we strive to care for and support one another.
If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?-1 John 4:20.

Bread Ministry
Bread Ministry provides a helping hand to those in need. Bread and pastries from Panera are distributed on Thursdays from 6pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 10am until 1pm.
